Entertainment Electrics New

Plan for and implement a safe and effective power distribution system for live events including cabling and components. Learn how to calculate the supply requirements from the connected load, how to properly choose the right components, how to assemble those components, how to test the system before turn on, and how to monitor systems during use. Particular emphasis will be on electrical safety and best practices. This course teaches skills required of production electricians working in live event production and helps those preparing to take the ETCP Entertainment Electrician Certification exam to understand the topics covered in the exam.

Solotech, 7465 Dean Martin Dr Ste 108, Las Vegas, NV 89139. Students will need to purchase the following supplies: Multi-tool, LED flashlight, crescent wrench, electrical testing meter, safety hard-hat. Students should bring a calculator on the last day of the session. Laptop and or tablet for the last day is also helpful to bring but not required. Prerequisite: Students should be able to lift 50 pounds and have the ability to stand, bend and move equipment.
