Augmenting the DVD presentations will be discussions about two books, The Orphan Master's Son by Adam Johnson, a Pulitzer award winning novel set in the culture of North Korea, and Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow by Yuval Noah Harari, paired with a BBC interview of the author on Intelligence Squared. Other book-related class discussions will focus on selected "futuristic" novels which also became films such as Brave New World, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, A Clockwork Orange, and The Circle.
