In 1969 the BBC first aired its landmark television documentary Civilisation, art historian Lord Kenneth Clark's personal view of what defines Western civilisation-its art, sculpture, poetry, literature, architecture, drama, music, etc. View and discuss the 13-part series in which Clark uses the arts to trace the development of Western thought, philosophy, and history.
