English as a Second Language (ESL) Beginning I

This course is for beginners with limited English language skills. Learn basic skills for speaking confidently, reading and listening comprehensively, and writing correctly. Coursework includes lessons to build vocabulary and basic grammar for everyday situations. A primary focus is on conversational skills, including understanding idiomatic expressions and expressing likes, dislikes, interests, and opinions. By the end of the course, you will acquire the necessary skills to function in everyday English-speaking settings. Our learning environment is engaging, supportive, and designed for student success. ESL Beginning students are not required to take the ACCUPLACER test. p>
