Protective Services Certification Program Application

The Protective Services Professional Certification is an intensive, week-long training program designed exclusively for executive protection, corporate security, military, and law enforcement professionals interested in learning how to provide lower visibility personal security for high net-worth or 'at risk' individuals in permissive to semi- permissive environments. The curriculum is delivered using a blended-learning format of interactive classroom instruction, field training, case studies, subject-matter expert speakers, and practical exercises.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
To earn the Protective Services Professional certificate you must successfully complete the following two required modules:

* Protective Driving Operations (PDOC)
* Protection Agent Development (PAD)

Prerequisite: PSPC is a dynamic course with a multitude of learning environments. Traditional classrooms, closed circuit driving pads and real-world environments expose students to the breadth and depth of experiences needed for both success completion of the program and preparing the student for the job market. Knowledge, skills and ability attained during this course are measured through written testing and physical skills assessments. The following are standard minimum requirements for program admittance: 1. Must be 21 years of age or older. 2. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalency. 3. No history of conviction for any criminal offense of: sexually motivated crimes; theft; larceny; embezzlement; battery; domestic violence; assault; or any other violent criminal act; DUI; possession of narcotics paraphernalia; possession or use of any illegal substance; identity theft; any crime of subversion against the US government; or any crime for which one must register for in any state. 4. Must possess a recognized and valid driver’s license. 5. Must have proficiency to independently read, write, speak and process the English language at a minimum of a high school graduate level. 6. Have 20/20 vision with or without the use of prescription glasses under normal conditions. 7. Have the ability to send and receive verbal communication from no less than 15 yards distance with or without the use of hearing aids under normal conditions. 8. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. 9. Must be able to walk or run unaided no less than 1 mile. 10. Must be able to ascend and descend not less than 3 flights of stairs unaided. 11. Must be able to safely perform dynamic vehicle operations unaided. 12. Must be able to independently move, pull or drag 150 lbs. 15 yards or greater. 13. Must demonstrate a need for attending this course, career transition or career enhancement. a. Provide proof of current and relevant affiliation with security or protective services OR relevant past experience in law enforcement, military, and/or protective services for government or corporate clients. 14. Must have access during the entire course duration to a smart phone with texting capabilities, internet and email access over a cellular enabled network.
