Self-help for Nurses: Meditation & Relaxation

Nurses work in chaotic, fast-paced environments, focused on improving the health of their patients. But what about the self-health of the nurse? Understand the need for self-health practices among nurses, the benefits of such practices, and how to make a habit of these helpful strategies. Discuss literature findings related to self-health practices such as breathing techniques, mindfulness, meditation, and postural alignment - any of which can be done in any given moment. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes and participate in all of the self-health practices demonstrations. Course approved by Nevada State Board of Nursing for 6.5 CNEs. Lunch will be provided.
