My Hawai'i

Get a taste of Hawai'i's history, culture, arts, and daily life led by a native islander and long-time cultural interpreter. The planned curriculum covers a little of this and that ("Dis and Dat"): the Kamehameha reign (1700-1800s); Lili?uokalani, the first queen to abdicate her throne; evolving music, poetry, and dance; Hawai'i's transition to a new government; a booming sugar cane industry, now gone; legacies that survive the ages; and "Hana Butta Days," growing up an islander.
