The Jewish American Experience is an examination of Jewish American history, culture and identity. Beginning with the arrival of the first Jewish settlers from Recife to America, you will explore the contributions that Jewish Americans have made in fields ranging from comedy to physics to civil rights. You will also examine the darker side of our American Experience discussing anti-Semitism and the rise of Jewish gangsters. Each presentation is thoroughly documented and supplementary materials will be made available.
