Gain clear understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) so you can be proactive about preventing harassment or discrimination in the workplace. Know the processes involved if someone files a complaint of discrimination against your company. Become familiar with EEOC guidelines for subjects including discriminatory practices, charge processing, investigations, enforcement, vicarious employer responsibility for unlawful harassment by a supervisor, applying the laws during recruitment and hiring, and defending yourself against employment discrimination charges.
