Take a beginner’s look into the world of sexual offending. Get a foundational education on the “five Ws:” Who—the subtypes of people who offend sexually; What—how to define sexual abuse and examples of hands off/hands on crime; When/Where—where crimes occur most frequently and grooming; and Why—the overarching theories of why sexual abuse occurs. This all leads to one last critical question, “Now What?” Explore current approaches to treatment protocols, supervision, community safety, and recidivism rates.
