Chinese History Through Art

This interactive workshop teaches Chinese history and culture through the lens of traditional Chinese art. From bronze and ceramics to painting, calligraphy, and jade, each art form reflects profound cultural values and historical narratives. Participants will engage with a curated selection of iconic masterpieces sourced from premier global museums. To conclude the experience, students will learn to make a simple Chinese handscroll on which they will create their own "Three Perfections of Chinese Art": the harmonious union of Painting, Calligraphy, and Poetry. Join us to discover how these timeless artistic expressions serve as a vibrant gateway to the heart of Chinese civilization.
