Communicate your visions for fashionable designs and clothing lines through the arts of fashion illustration, design, and graffiti art. This class will take you through the designer's planning process using elements and principles of design, sketching, and illustration, plus expose you to graffiti artwork on textiles. You will enhance your drawing skills and work to visually convey your design concepts through storyboards and design flats. Focus areas for this class include the fashion design process, sketching the human body, illustration of dress, color choice, and the designer’s fashion portfolio. Additionally, you will create your very own graffiti art T-shirt by applying your markings, slogans, or drawings directly to your apparel using a transfer machine. Instructor will provide supply recommendations. Projects: Create illustration figure/storyboard, flats, and graffiti sketch on apparel.
