Crisis Management

Respond quickly, confidently, and competently when life throws a crisis at your organization. You will build an understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with organizational leadership during crises. The course will use real-world examples (e.g., case studies) as well as selected readings to explore various approaches to crisis management, to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each approach, and to match the approach to the situation. By discussing the challenges and unique aspects of leadership in crises, we will demystify the tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with leadership success in demanding/unexpected circumstances. The last few years have shown how critical it is for leaders in all business sectors to understand crisis management so they can build resilient teams, ensure business continuity, and successfully adapt when the unexpected happens.
