Develop your overall understanding of business theory and practice so you can thrive in a leadership role within your organization. Through discussion and exercises, you will begin to recognize your own leadership style and understand how it impacts your approach to people and project management. You will practice negotiation and other communication techniques helpful in both personal and professional interactions. On the financial side, you can expect to better understand internal policies, processes, and procedures that impact business including budgeting; you will also acquire experience generating basic finance and accounting documents including profit/loss statements and balance sheets. The program dedicates time to generating plans and strategies for managing the customer experience including brand, marketing, and sales concepts. The Business Administration Certificate is structured as six, 6-hour, in-class sessions delivered over six consecutive weeks. Each week will require approximately one hour of online preparatory work including readings, videos, and brief assignments that will be utilized or discussed in live sessions. Sessions will be led by industry experts with significant experience and MBAs, or top Lee Business School faculty.
