Let’s alter those garments for a better fit! Alterations class will equip students with practical skills and foundational knowledge necessary to modify, repair, and improve garments. Learn how to pin, mark, and fit garments on different body types for optimal comfort and style. Advance your knowledge of seams, hem repairs and other garment components. Develop the skills necessary to adjust garment size, such as taking in or letting out seams for a better fit. Practice the removal and installation of zippers, buttons, and other fasteners. This class features an informational packet covering all aspects of garment alterations created by Mary Ann Racheau, Las Vegas costume and fashion designer and Master Sewing Educator.
