Explore the role of photojournalism in society, both historically and today, as you learn to define and critique award-winning news images. The course places a strong emphasis on ethical standards for photographers working in diverse settings, including public spaces, private areas, and conflict zones. You will gain practical experience by capturing and captioning a series of images based on a real event or social issue, culminating in the creation and presentation of your own short visual news story complete with supporting text.
Prerequisite: Photography for Graphic Designers or similar knowledge and experience.
