The Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia Care Seminar, offered through UNLV Lifelong Learning in partnership with Senior Resource Nevada, is a comprehensive 5-week professional development program designed to enhance participants' understanding of dementia care and strengthen their ability to provide compassionate, person-centered support.

Participants will explore the progression of Alzheimer's disease and dementia, effective communication techniques, behavioral and emotional support strategies, environmental considerations, safety practices, cultural competency, caregiver engagement, and end-of-life care considerations. The program emphasizes practical application and evidence-informed approaches that can be immediately implemented in professional and caregiving environments.

This seminar is ideal for healthcare professionals, senior service providers, caregivers, social workers, case managers, residential care staff, community health workers, and individuals seeking to deepen their expertise in dementia care.
