Join us for this Great Courses class led "once more into the fray" of civilization by Professor Harl (Tulane University) and his excellent lectures. We will travel across Europe and Asia from the Pontic steppes in future Russia across the Silk Route through Central Asia, Mongolia, early China, from frozen Siberia to the Tibetan Plateau. In these first 18 lectures, we will meet the Yamniya, Xuangnu-the Mongol predecessors, Persians, Turks, Khans, Pechenegs and Silk Road Moguls. See you on the Silk Road!
