Designing for stage shows requires specialized tools and techniques so performers can get dressed quickly and look their best night after night. Learn and apply the steps of costume creation including concept development, sketching, swatching, draping, sewing, and final touches to prepare the costume to appear on stage. You will see hands-on demonstrations, backstage videos of the costume creation process, and samples of items from some of the world’s most famous shows. Mary Ann Racheau is a Las Vegas costume and fashion designer and Master Sewing Educator who was formerly a Costume Technician for Cirque du Soleil’s KA, the Lead Seamstress for the Siegfried and Roy Show in Las Vegas and the Costumier for the ballet and opera.
