The Occupational and Career for Life Studies Certificate (OCLSC) is for college aged (a) students with intellectual disabilities, (b) students with disabilities that have not met the original admission requirements at UNLV, and/or (c) students that are interested in gaining independent employment based on person centered career goals. This certificate will provide an inclusive academic and work experience curriculum to help individuals prepare for preferred independent employment.
The OCLSC is designed to meet the person centered values of each participant therefore each individual's certificate path may be individualized based on experiences, supports, and needs. The OCLSC is currently a two-year (i.e., 42 credit), non-residential certificate program offered through collaboration of UNLV College of Education and UNLV Continuing Education.
