Ethical Considerations in Working With Sex Workers & Survivors of Trafficking

There are no scheduled sessions at this time. Sign up to be notified when this course is available.

Clinicians often encounter clients who identify as sex workers and/or "in the lifestyle," especially in Sin City. This workshop provides a historical and psycholegal context to better understand the nature of consent in sex work, and the ways that our clients are positioned as victims/survivors or as criminals. Participants will explore their own assumptions and biases that they bring into their work with clients, and best practices will be reviewed. This course is approved for .4 CEUs by IACET, and 4 CEUs by the NV Board of Examiners for Social Workers, and the NV Board of Examiners for MFTs & CPCs.
