Saturday STEM Program: Integrating Engineering, Robotics and AI for STEM Learning!

There are no scheduled sessions at this time. Sign up to be notified when this course is available.

This 5-week course is designed to engage students who may not think robotics or Computer Science is “for them”. This course integrates the engineering design process with machine learning (image recognition, audio recognition, and pose recognition) using Google Teachable Machine and visual block-based coding (Snap!). We will use the Hummingbird robotics kit. By the end of the course, students will improve their knowledge and skills in engineering, coding and machine learning, and they will be informed about STEM and Computer Science careers. No prior experience in robotics is required. The course is open for grades 6-7-8 students. Parents can cancel by October 11, 2023 without any penalty. We will offer this course in UNLV College of Education. The room number will be shared with the parents whose children are registered for the course.
