Break Into the World of Voiceover

Voice acting continues to expand across industries - from commercials and animation to video games, audiobooks, eLearning, AI, and beyond. In today’s digital landscape, professional-quality recording is more accessible than ever, and opportunities exist across multiple platforms and markets.
This interactive four-week live online course introduces students to the broad range of voiceover genres while developing foundational performance skills and industry understanding. Participants will learn how to interpret and approach different types of voiceover copy, explore vocal versatility, and gain insight into how the professional marketplace operates.
Course topics include: Commercial, animation, gaming, audiobook, and corporate narration genres; Script interpretation and performance fundamentals; Audition expectations and industry standards; Introduction to home studio basics; Understanding the voiceover job market.
Led by Melissa Moats, a full-time professional voice actor with 25+ years of experience, this course provides a realistic, supportive introduction to the craft and business of voiceover. Students will gain clarity on what the field requires and whether pursuing voice acting aligns with their goals.
