Doo-Wop was a unique music genre that emerged in the early 1950s. It had a unique sound that reflected the times. This course will examine the roots of Doo-Wop, the cities and disc jockeys that nurtured it, and the groups that embraced it. In addition to lectures and discussions, we will listen to some of the engaging songs that popularized the sound.
