We will examine Shakespeare sonnets and plays that tend towards the experimental and exploratory. Selected Sonnets will introduce us to Shakespeare's rhetorical and linguistic excellence. We will study Henry VI, Pt. 3, the third historical play in Shakespeare’s minor tetralogy Then we will move onto the witty and feisty, mid-career comedy, Much Ado About Nothing and enn with a late tragedy, Coriolanus, and a romance play, Cymbeline.
