After the US reached coast to coast in North America, what next? From Continental expansion it embarked on overseas imperialism. Why & How did this happen? Was it a divine mission of the US or perversion of the doctrine of Manifest Destiny? What territories were acquired? What was territory like, who were the people? What is our relations with these territories today? What should it be? We will try to answer all of these questions in this class.
