We will learn about the groundbreaking women who rescued early cinema, both behind and in front of the camera. We'll study pioneering female directors, writers, editors and producers who shattered barriers in a male-dominated world. By examining the silent film stars and creative pioneers, we will see how their contibutions laid the foundation for film both as an art and an industry. Ultimately we will gain a deeper appreciation for their legacy, challenges, and lasting influence.
