The course will examine, The Octopus Murders which tell the story of Danny Casolaro, who died while attempting to uncover what he believed to be a hidden network, involving high-ranking intelligence officials, the CIA surveillance network and the corruption of the banking industry. The 2016 leak of (11.5 million) documents, The Panama Papers, from the law firm Mossack Fonseca, which reveal the inner workings of offshore finance, and tell the story of how the “super-rich” hide their wealth. The investigation of the ongoing release of the 3 million Justice Dept Jeffery Epstein files, which connect the Octopus Murders and The Panama Papers, and expose how the “super-rich” are involved with government secrets, pedophilia and corruption at the highest levels of world governments. How are these topics related?
